- The marks obtained for each course must be based on the overall performance in the coursework including assignments, periodic tests, mid-term tests, and final examination.
- Continuous Assessment Tests (CAT), which includes assignments, quizzes, periodic tests, and mid-semester tests shall carry 40% of the total marks.
- The final examination shall also carry 60% of the total marks. The pass mark for all undergraduate Programs, except those of the College of Medicine, is 50% marks; whereas the pass mark for the College of Medicine Programs is 60%.
- It is the responsibility of the Dean/Director and the associate Dean/deputy Director of each College/School/Institute to ensure that the assessment procedures in sub-Articles (61.6.2 and 61.6.3) are strictly observed by the lecturers. In addition the Deans/Directors and associate Deans/deputy Directors must assure that each lecturer of the College/School/Institute prepares and presents an overall course plan which includes a course description, course objectives, course outcomes, teaching methods, course contents with a time-frame, a required textbook, a reading list, and assessment methods
