University of Hargeisa received high-ranked delegates from Egypt, Uganda and the Somali Region of Ethiopia

University of Hargeisa received various high-ranked delegates in the last four weeks; Egyptian delegate, led by the Egyptian deputy minister of foreign affairs, paid visit to the University Campus. UoH president, Dr. Mohamud Yusuf Muse, received them in his office and briefed them about the University, its history and establishment, its colleges, research activities and community services. The President narrated the deep-rooted ties that Somaliland had with Egypt and Egyptian Universities. The delegate then overviewed the UoH’s Institute for Peace and Conflict Studies. The delegate in their turn, promised that they will initiate good relationship between UoH and Egyptian Universities.

Another delegate from the Somali region of Ethiopia also visited University of Hargeisa where they met members of the senate, top management and toured on the campus. The delegate observed the different facilities and buildings of the University including IPCS, OCVP, Administration building and the under-construction University library complex.

Short after this, a fact-finding delegate from Uganda landed in University of Hargeisa. The delegate came to Somaliland to participate the inauguration of 18 May. The director of the Institute for Peace and Conflict Studies, interestingly, informed the delegate about the different ways that Somaliland made its peace and resolved conflicts.
