On March 19th 2019 the University Of Hargeisa’s College of Social Science and Humanities (School Of Social Work) “ including both the Dean of the college and the students” organized the “World Social Work Day” which highlighted and was themed “Promoting the Importance of Human Relationships”, This year’s theme focused on the social relationships between people’s essential relationships with each other, their environments and their futures. The event was sponsored by many humanitarian organizations involved in the social welfare of the peoples of the country of Somaliland.
The event witnessed an esteemed turn out of officials which included but certainly not limited to the Minister Of Employment & Social Affairs Mrs. Hinda Jamaac Xirsi, the Chairman of the Civil Service Commission Mr. Sharmaarke Axmed Muxummed, Dean of the College Of Social Science & Humanities Mr. Mukhtar Aabi, the previous Dean of the College of Social Science & Humanities Mr. Ahmed Nur, the Director Of Corporate Communications of the University Of Hargeisa Mr. Mohamed Sulub just to name a few.
