On Thursday 26th of April 2018, the Deans and directors of the University Of Hargeisa UOH where invited to a field trip by the Somaliland Beverage Industries SBI.
SBI is the first of its kind carbonated soft drink producer in the country with cutting edge technology, it is the only Coca Cola and other various carbonated soft drinks bottling factory in the Republic Of Somaliland.
According to Shuraako.org in an interview they conducted with the COO of SBI at the time Mr. Mustafe Osman Guelle: stated that SBI represents the largest private equity investment in country in over twenty years.
The trip was designed to foster and harbor better cooperation efforts between the university of Hargeisa and the Somaliland Beverage Industries, UOH staff was introduced to the landscape, factory functioning and ethical culture of SBI.
