The administration, faculty and the student body of the University Of Hargeisa rendered a major hand in the aid to the subjects of the horrific hurricane (Sagar) which impacted the headlands of the Republic Of Somaliland destroying people’s homes and taking lives.
The administration, faculty and the student body of the University Of Hargeisa turned over the collected aid materials to the Natural Disaster Prevention organization and the Committee for Hurricane Aid headed by the minister of Agricultural Development Mr. Ahmed Muumin Seed, The Advisor of the president on Social & Community Affairs Mr. Abdiwahid Abdiqaadir and the President of Disaster Prevention, the aid materials constituted the following:
- Men’s Clothing, Women’s Clothing, Children’s Clothing for 80 families.
- Blankets, Sheets and other household garments.
- 300 units of Water buckets.
- Plastic for huts/residence construction.
- Utensils
