The vision of the college of social science and humanities is to be the leading college of social science and Humanities through excellence in teaching, research and services.

Our Mission

The mission of the college is to produce leaders and front-runners that make positive impact in their communities. We educate students to embody holistic knowledge, inspire critical thinking, possess dynamic oral and written communication skills, and become agents for development and equity.

Background

The college of social science and humanity is established in 2013 and now it’s one of the largest colleges in the university. The College of Social Sciences and Humanities encourages student growth and development by providing opportunities to broaden service, social, and cultural perspectives through teaching and community involvement in Internships. The College encourages active participation of students in extra-curricular activities on and off campus to provide them a holistic educational experience and prepare students to become responsible, caring members of society.

The college now offers two undergraduate programs namely as;

  • Bachelor Degree in Social Work
  • Bachelor Degree in Journalism and Mass Communication

The College is committed to an academic environment that encourages students to develop as scholars.  Our highly qualified academics promote and encourage our students’ critical and creative thinking, participative educational experiences, field works and research, and a supportive learning community.
