University of Hargeisa Launches Reproductive Health Training Under BSU-IV Project

The Directorate of Research, Publications and Community Services, in collaboration with the School of Graduate Studies (SGS), has officially launched a 4-day training session on Reproductive Health. This initiative is part of Work Package 2 of the Building Stronger Universities 4 (BSU-IV) project, funded by the Danida Fellowship Centre.
The training was officially opened by the Director of the Directorate of Research, Publications and Community Services, whose leadership and support have contributed to making this event possible. We were truly honored to have Dr. Edna Adan Ismail as our guest speaker during the opening session. As a nurse, midwife, and passionate activist for women’s health, Dr. Edna shared her profound insights and personal experiences in advocating for improved reproductive health services. Her dedication to empowering women and advancing healthcare in Somaliland has made a lasting impact, and her inspiring words set the tone for an impactful and enriching training session.
We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to the course facilitators from the University of Southern Denmark, SDU whose expertise and support are integral to the success of this program. Their collaboration and guidance are helping to shape the future of reproductive health services in the region.
