The Faculty of Statistics and Data Science reviewed its curriculum

The Vice president for Academic and research Mr. Mustafe Khadar has concluded consultative meetings in which the senior lecturers at the faculty of Statistics and Data Science (Previously, Math and Statistics) reviewed the faculty curriculum. The associate Dean for the faculty Mr. Mohamed Osman and the Vice President for Academic and Research Mr. Mustafe Khadar have thanked the team that reviewed the curriculum in a closing ceremony held in the OCVB Hall. The Associate dean has enlightened the reason for this curriculum review and how this new program can be benefited by the students in the faculty and the new intakes. The Vice President has also explained how the new program meets the existing demand in the market.
The previous curriculum which was major in Mathematics will be formally replaced by the new one starting from the new academic year. The new program will allow students to take more than 15 data analysis packages in the Degree Program. The Director General of the Ministry of National Planning and Development who also attended the ceremony appreciated the University and acknowledged how this revised degree program is beneficial to the society and the country as a whole.
