Our Center for Research and Community Services successfully concluded a three-day training session

The Center for Research and Community Services, University of Hargeisa has successfully concluded a three-day training session held at the Ambassador Hotel. This valuable training, part of Work Package 4 (Administrative Framework) of the Building Stronger Universities (BSU)-IV project funded by the Danida Fellowship Centre, focused on upgrading and strengthening our financial policy and management systems.
Delivered by experts including Dorte Holler Johansen, Senior Advisor at the University of Copenhagen; Camilla Riel, Research Coordinator at Roskilde University; and Christian Gregart from CG Consulting, the training was attended by the university’s financial and procurement staff as well as others with financial backgrounds.
Key topics covered in the training included budgeting, cost control, financial forecasting, and resource allocation, all in line with Danida’s financial management guidelines. Participants have significantly enhanced their skills, leading to improved efficiency, transparency, and accountability in university operations. The University of Hargeisa is committed to ongoing professional development, recognizing that such training is crucial for maintaining high standards and fostering a culture of excellence within the institution.
