Danida Fellowship Centre Team Engages in Strategic Discussions at the University of Hargeisa
The Danida Fellowship Centre (DFC) team continued their four-day visit to the University of Hargeisa, focusing on strengthening collaboration and shaping future initiatives.
The day began with a high-level meeting between the DFC & BSU team and the President of the University of Hargeisa. Discussions centered on the progress of their ongoing partnership and potential areas for further cooperation. The meeting highlighted the significance of the Building Stronger Universities (BSU-IV) program and the university’s commitment to enhancing research, education, and community engagement through international partnerships.
Following this, the DFC team turned their attention to the thematic areas for the 2025 BSU-IV program. They conducted an in-depth review of the different work packages and outlined plans for the upcoming year. Key discussions revolved around identifying the themes and topics that will be central to the program’s focus in 2025, ensuring alignment with mutual objectives and the university’s academic and research priorities.
The visit reflects a continued effort to strengthen institutional capacity, promote knowledge exchange, and drive impactful research initiatives. The collaboration between the University of Hargeisa and the Danida Fellowship Centre remains vital in fostering academic excellence and addressing key development challenges in Somaliland.
