Through strategic media engagement, digital storytelling, publications, and social media, we connect with internal and external audiences to promote the University’s values, protect its image, and showcase its contributions to Somaliland and beyond.
Main Responsibilities
Develop, maintain, and protect the University of Hargeisa’s visual and messaging identity across all platforms.
Build and sustain positive relationships with local, national, and international media to increase visibility and manage public perception.
Manage the University’s online presence, including its official website and social media platforms, to effectively engage diverse audiences.
Produce high-quality content that highlights the University’s academic, research, student, and community achievements.
Design and implement promotional campaigns to support student recruitment, events, partnerships, and institutional goals.
Ensure timely and effective communication within the University community to foster transparency, engagement, and a shared institutional culture.
Coordinate media coverage and promotional materials for key university events, conferences, and public engagements.
Monitor public sentiment and proactively manage the University’s reputation, addressing misinformation or negative publicity when necessary.
Oversee the development of brochures, newsletters, annual reports, and other print and digital publications that reflect the University’s mission and progress.
