Our Mission

The Research, Publications, and Community Services Directorate aims to promote research excellence and innovation through capacity building, strategic partnerships, and cutting-edge research facilities. By supporting faculty, students, and community stakeholders, UoH seeks to enhance knowledge transfer, address societal challenges, and contribute to sustainable development through impactful research and innovation.

Our Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement institutional research policies, strategies, and frameworks to align with national priorities and global best practices.
  • Coordinate and promote interdisciplinary research collaborations among faculty, students, and external partners (e.g., government, NGOs, industry).
  • Facilitate grant applications, funding opportunities, and research proposals to support university-led innovations and projects.
  • Monitor and evaluate research outputs (publications, patents, conferences) using KPIs to ensure quality and impact.
  • Organize research capacity-building workshops, seminars, and training for faculty and students on methodologies, ethics, and funding avenues.
  • Design and oversee community service programs that address local challenges (e.g., health campaigns, environmental sustainability, education outreach).
  • Conduct needs assessments and stakeholder consultations to align community projects with societal demands and SDGs.
  • Publish annual reports on research achievements, community engagement activities, and their socio-economic impact.
  • Establish partnerships with local and international institutions to enhance knowledge exchange and resource mobilization.
  • Advocate for research dissemination through open-access platforms, journals, and public forums to maximize visibility.
