Background

The college of Islamic Studies and Arabic Language was established in 2000 with the inauguration of the University. The college now offers a bachelor of Islamic Studies and Arabic Language in which the student takes Islamic education as a major and Arabic as a minor. The Bachelor of Islamic Studies provides advanced knowledge of Islam, including Theological, jurisprudential, historical, contemporary and spiritual aspects. Islamic education are studied from both a classical and contemporary perspective.

Our bachelor’s degree in Islamic Studies provides students with the scientific and practical skills to be successful teachers, researchers, and preachers.  This degree program also helps you to serve society by clarifying the topics of religion to people and highlighting the position of Islam on contemporary issues. The high-level academia of the college equips students with the true Islamic character. The college ensures that You’ll graduate with grounded knowledge in the various Islamic disciplines as well as a level of proficiency in Arabic.

 Objectives of the College of Islamic Studies

• Providing the student with basic knowledge in faith, interpretation, hadith, jurisprudence and its origins, da’wah, and other fields of knowledge related to the legal, spiritual, and intellectual aspects that distinguish the Islamic system.
• Preparing the student and qualifying him spiritually and intellectually to carry the message of Islam, and to call for its values and rulings.
• To accustom the student to patience and tolerance of difference, and to qualify him to deal objectively with the various opinions and different viewpoints.
• Developing the spirit of moderation, balance, and distance from extremism through making comparative studies.
• Preparing students academically to join postgraduate programs at home and abroad.
• Producing qualified graduates in the field of judiciary and education with advanced religious and contemporary legal knowledge
