Background: School of Graduate Studies
Established to advance academic excellence and meet the growing demand for specialized knowledge and professional skills in Somaliland and the Horn of Africa, the School of Graduate Studies (SGS) at the University of Hargeisa plays a central role in cultivating leaders, researchers, and experts who drive national development and regional transformation. Since its inception, SGS has expanded significantly, offering over 20 master’s programs across diverse fields such as education, public health, engineering, law, social sciences, governance, Islamic studies, and business administration.
The School is committed to producing high-caliber graduates through rigorous academic training, applied research, and community engagement. Each program is designed to meet both national priorities and global standards, integrating theoretical knowledge with practical application.
