The University of Hargeisa (UoH) is significantly expanding its international network, announcing the initiation of a new institutional partnership with the University of Minnesota (UMN) in the USA. As part of this effort, the President of the University of Hargeisa, Dr. Mohamed Ahmed Sulub, held high-level meetings with senior UMN officials, including Dr. Marina B. Aleixo, Director of International Initiatives, and Professors Dr. Christopher Johnstone and Dr. Carl J. Rosen.

The proposed partnership is set to promote academic mobility, joint research and grant opportunities, exchange of professional expertise, and collaborative community development initiatives. As part of the visit, Dr. Sulub also toured the University of Minnesota’s Soil Testing and Research Analytical Laboratory, gaining insights into advanced research facilities and practices that could inform future collaboration.
