Vision
The College of Sharia and Law strives to excel in Islamic education, Arabic language, and legal studies, promoting research and training that support the region’s legal and cultural development.
Mission
Our mission is to produce graduates rooted in Islamic values, Arabic proficiency, and legal knowledge, equipped to serve society, promote justice, and support national and regional development through quality education and research.

Background

The College of Sharia and Law at the University of Hargeisa is a distinguished center of legal and Islamic scholarship dedicated to producing ethical, knowledgeable, and justice-oriented professionals. The college plays a pivotal role in advancing the rule of law, promoting social justice, and preserving the values of Islamic jurisprudence within the modern legal framework. Through rigorous academic training and a commitment to community service, students are equipped with the knowledge and skills to interpret, apply, and reform both Sharia and civil law in a rapidly evolving legal landscape.

The college is composed of two faculties:

  • Faculty of Sharia
  • Faculty of Law

Together, these faculties offer comprehensive education in Islamic studies and legal sciences, preparing graduates for roles in judiciary, legal advocacy, academia, public service, and religious leadership.
