The University of Hargeisa, through its College of Medicine and Health Sciences, has commenced the final Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) for 103 Nursing and Midwifery students. The OSCE is a practical competency-based assessment designed to evaluate students’ clinical knowledge, technical skills, communication, and professional competence. It represents the final stage in ensuring graduates are fully prepared to deliver safe, effective, and high-quality healthcare services.

During the examination, the process was inspected by Dr. Ahmed-wali Daahir Xaddi, Director of Hargeisa Group Hospital; Dr. Fuad Abdi Obsiye, Vice President for Academic and Student Affairs at the University of Hargeisa; Dr. Abdirashid Ismail Mohamed, Vice President for Administration and Development; Dr. Mohamoud Abdulkader Mohamoud, Principal of the College of Medicine and Health Sciences; and several faculty members. The officials commended the students, academic staff, and examination team for the successful organization of the assessment, reaffirming the University’s commitment to producing competent, ethical, and highly skilled healthcare professionals who will contribute to strengthening Somaliland’s healthcare system.
