Senior students from the Faculty of Statistics and Data Science, under the College of Business, Economics and Statistics at the University of Hargeisa, successfully completed an educational field research visit to the Las Geel Archaeological Site.

During the visit, the students conducted a community-based assessment to examine the opportunities and challenges of tourism development in the area, collecting high-quality field data through practical research activities. This hands-on experience strengthened their skills in statistical research, data collection, data analysis, teamwork, and community engagement.

The initiative reflects the University of Hargeisa’s commitment to experiential learning by equipping students with practical research and analytical skills that support evidence-based decision-making and contribute to sustainable national development.
