Dr Mohamed Ahmed Sulub, President of the University of Hargeisa, is currently on an official visit to the United States. This impactful trip is centred on strengthening international academic and research partnerships. The meeting was attended by high-level officials, including Dr Kathleen Fairfax (Deputy Provost for International Affairs), Mason Rowley (International Partnership Coordinator), Dr David Riep (Director of the Africa Center), and Professor Paul Evangelista (a globally recognised expert in natural resource ecology). During the discussions, the two universities identified key priority areas for future collaboration, including wildlife conservation, law reform, One Health initiatives, and climate change mitigation. The purpose of the meeting was to align and leverage the unique expertise of both institutions to address challenges affecting the region and the wider world.
This visit marks a new chapter in global cooperation, laying the foundation for long-term collaboration that will contribute significantly to advancing knowledge, research, and solutions to global challenges.
