Hargeisa, Somaliland – The President of the University of Hargeisa, Dr. Mohamed Ahmed Sulub, today concluded a two-day training and workshop that he led for the new heads of independent agencies and members of the national commissions of Somaliland. The training focused on leadership, good governance, and institutional development.

The training was officially opened by the President of the Republic of Somaliland, Hon. Dr. Abdirahman Mohamed Abdillahi, and was attended by senior officials and leaders from various sectors of the government. The closing ceremony of the training was honored and officially concluded by the Vice President of Somaliland, Hon. Mohamed Aw-Ali Abdi. This is not the first time Dr. Sulub has contributed to building the capacity of government institutions, as he has previously led trainings and workshops for other senior government leaders. In his opening remarks, Dr. Sulub emphasized the importance of modernizing the skills and knowledge of government leaders in order to strengthen the efficiency and service delivery of national institutions. He further noted that the University of Hargeisa is committed to playing a significant role in the development of the country through knowledge, research, and programs that build the capacity of government employees.

This training highlights the growing role of the University of Hargeisa in developing national capacities, as it continues to evolve into an academic hub that bridges higher education and public administration, thereby accelerating Somaliland’s progress.
