As part of the ongoing BSU-IV Programme Meeting in Zanzibar, the University of Hargeisa participated in an academic visit to the State University of Zanzibar (SUZA), where delegates toured the School of Health and Medical Sciences and the main university campus. The visit offered valuable insights into SUZA’s expanding academic and research infrastructure, including key facilities such as the Molecular Laboratory, which supports vital health research and diagnostics, as well as the Digital Lab and Editing Station, highlighting advancements in digital learning and media innovation.

The engagement underscored the importance of knowledge exchange, institutional learning, and strengthened collaboration among partner universities. Through the BSU-IV programme, the University of Hargeisa continues to play an active role in fostering North-South and South-South partnerships that promote innovation, research excellence, and shared academic growth. This collaboration reflects the university’s commitment to enhancing capacity, advancing research, and building strong global academic networks.
