The University of Hargeisa welcomed a delegation from Windle Trust International (WTI) for a productive meeting to explore opportunities for strategic collaboration in higher education, research, and community development. The WTI delegation included Ian Callender (WTI Trustee), Anna Kulakiewicz (WTI Trustee), Alex Bent (Director of International Development and Engagement), and Sahra Hassan (Programme Coordinator).
The meeting was led by Dr. Fuad A. Obsiye, Vice President for Academic Affairs and Acting President, representing Dr. Mohamed Ahmed Sulub, President of the University of Hargeisa. Discussions focused on areas of mutual interest, including teacher education and professional development, scholarships and equitable access to higher education, research and knowledge generation, monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning (MEAL), and education in emergencies.
The University of Hargeisa reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening partnerships with international organizations that advance quality education, research, innovation, youth empowerment, and sustainable community development.
