University of Hargeisa Strengthens International Academic Partnerships through Erasmus+ Mobility

The University of Hargeisa continues to advance its internationalization agenda through the Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility Programme. As part of this initiative, Dr. Ahmed Mohammed Shirwa, Director of Academic Programs Development and Promotion, and Dr. Hassan Abdi Abdilahi, Director of the Institute for Peace and Conflict Studies (IPCS), successfully completed an academic mobility visit to the University of Granada, Spain.

During the visit, Dr. Ahmed Mohammed Shirwa engaged with the Department of Structural Mechanics and Hydraulic Engineering, where discussions focused on strengthening collaboration in civil engineering education, research, and innovation. The meetings explored opportunities for joint research, academic exchanges, and wider institutional partnerships.Meanwhile, Dr. Hassan Abdi Abdilahi visited the Institute of Peace and Conflict Studies (IPAZ), where he met with researchers and faculty to exchange knowledge in peacebuilding, conflict transformation, human rights, and sustainable peace. The engagement identified shared research priorities and established a foundation for future collaboration.

The mobility visit reflects the University of Hargeisa’s commitment to expanding global academic partnerships that enhance teaching, research, innovation, and knowledge exchange.
