The University of Hargeisa successfully concluded the four-day intensive training on REDCap and data management systems, held from 4th to 7th May 2026 for academic and administrative staff. The training strengthened participantsโ knowledge and practical skills in high-quality data collection, management, and research systems, reaffirming the universityโs commitment to advancing evidence-based decision-making and research excellence.
Throughout the program, participants gained hands-on experience in the use of REDCap to improve data quality and accuracy, real-time data monitoring, data security, and standardized data collection processes. Delivered through a Training of Trainers (ToT) approach under the BSU IV Programme, the initiative aimed to build sustainable institutional capacity by enabling participants to transfer the acquired knowledge across the university.
During the closing ceremony, certificates of completion were awarded to all participants in recognition of their successful participation and commitment throughout the training. The facilitators Prof. Vibeke Rasch from the University of Southern Denmark, Frank Sjรธberg Kjeldsen, and Allan Lind-Thomsen from OPEN Denmark expressed their appreciation for the active engagement, enthusiasm, and professionalism demonstrated by the participants. They commended the University of Hargeisa for its strong commitment to strengthening research and data systems and emphasized the importance of continued collaboration and capacity development in advancing quality research and institutional excellence.
