The College of Medicine and Health Sciences at the University of Hargeisa organized an Eye Health Screening Campaign aimed at promoting eye health and ensuring the well-being of University staff. The initiative was jointly implemented by the University of Hargeisa Clinic, faculty members, eye care specialists, and Optometry students, who worked together to provide comprehensive eye screening services.
The campaign focused on the early detection and prevention of eye diseases, raising awareness about the importance of regular eye examinations, and providing timely treatment and referrals where necessary. Through this initiative, participants received professional eye assessments and guidance on maintaining good eye health.
The programme reflects the University of Hargeisa’s commitment to preventive healthcare, community service, and practical student engagement, while contributing to the early identification and management of eye conditions before they develop into more serious vision problems.
