Three students from the Architecture Engineering program at the University of Hargeisa were honored with awards by the Hargeisa Cultural Center after presenting their Somaliland Vision 2050 concepts at this year’s exhibition. Their work featured future-oriented architectural designs tailored to cities across Somaliland, with each design reflecting the distinctive characteristics, resources, development opportunities, and strengths of the respective city. The students, Hoodo Abdek, Kawsar Abdirizak, and Samera Mohamed, demonstrated through their project how architectural knowledge and urban planning can contribute to developing modern, sustainable cities aligned with Somaliland’s Vision 2050.

Representing the University of Hargeisa at the award ceremony were Dr. Fuad Abdi Obsiye, Vice President for Academic Affairs; Dr. Abdirashid Yusuf Gaaxnuug, Director of Quality Assurance; and Abdiqathar Rashid Kulmiye, Coordinator of International Relations.

The University of Hargeisa congratulates the three students on this achievement and commends their creativity, architectural skills, and forward-looking vision for the future development of Somaliland.
