The College of Business, Economics and Statistics, in collaboration with the Quality Assurance and Institutional Transformation Directorate, organized a Training of Trainers (TOT) Program on Entrepreneurship Education aimed at strengthening lecturers’ capacity to deliver the University’s newly revised Entrepreneurship course.
The training was facilitated by Prof. Dr. Christian Friedrich, Professor at the University of Applied Sciences, Giessen, Germany; Dr. Fekadu Y. Maru, Dean of the College of Business, Economics and Statistics; and Dr. Umalkhayr Abdi Jama from the Quality Assurance and Institutional Transformation Directorate.
The program focused on preparing lecturers to implement the revised Entrepreneurship course, which places greater emphasis on experiential, practical, and student-centered learning. Participants were equipped with the knowledge, teaching methods, practical tools, and approaches required to effectively deliver the revised syllabus and engage students in hands-on entrepreneurial activities.
Through this initiative, the University of Hargeisa continues to strengthen the capacity of its academic staff while promoting an entrepreneurial culture across the University. The initiative is expected to equip students with the mindset, knowledge, and competencies needed to identify opportunities, develop innovative solutions, create employment, and contribute meaningfully to sustainable economic development.
