The University of Hargeisa held a specialized training entitled “Publishing Scientific Research in Reputable Journals,” targeting PhD candidates and academic lecturers. Held at the Warsame Research Hall, the training focused on strengthening participants’ knowledge and practical skills in preparing high-quality scientific research for publication in reputable international journals.

The training was facilitated by Prof. Abdul Hafaz Bin Ngah, Associate Professor at Universiti Malaysia Terengganu, Malaysia, who has extensive experience in research, academic publishing, and higher education development. Participants received practical guidance on developing strong research manuscripts, selecting appropriate journals, navigating the submission and review process, and addressing common challenges faced by researchers seeking publication.

The training forms part of the University of Hargeisa’s ongoing commitment to strengthening its research culture, improving the quality of scholarly output, and enhancing its academic visibility nationally and internationally. It also provided participants with an important opportunity to improve their publication skills and increase the potential impact and reach of their research.
