Students from the College of Agriculture, Veterinary and Environment Participate in Wildlife and Environmental Conservation Training and Field Visit

Students and recent graduates from the College of Agriculture, Veterinary and Environment at the University of Hargeisa participated in a training on wildlife and environmental conservation, focusing on the relationship between animal health, biodiversity conservation, environmental protection, and public health.

The training included lectures, discussions, demonstrations, and group activities, with particular emphasis on the role of veterinary professionals in wildlife conservation, disease surveillance, biodiversity protection, and the application of the One Health approach.

Participants also undertook an educational field visit to Geed Deeble, where they gained practical exposure to wildlife care and environmental conservation activities, including observing cheetahs and learning about ongoing efforts to protect wildlife and natural ecosystems.
