The Faculty of Public Administration and Good Governance at the University of Hargeisa organized an educational field visit for students taking the course Somaliland Public Finance and Taxation. The visit included tours of key financial and taxation institutions in Somaliland, particularly Egal International Airport and the Airport Customs Office.

The visit, led by Lecturer Yusuf M. Hussein, aimed to give students practical exposure to the operational procedures of the country’s financial institutions and help them compare the theoretical knowledge gained in the classroom with the actual work carried out in taxation and customs offices.

During the visit, students received detailed briefings on the taxation system, revenue administration, and the various functions of customs operations. They will also prepare reports reflecting on the knowledge and practical experience gained from the educational tour.

The faculty extends its sincere appreciation to Airport Manager Mr. Khalid Hassan Abdi, Hargeisa Airport Customs Manager Mr. Ahmed Ismail Abdi, and all airport staff for their warm welcome and valuable support in facilitating this educational program.
