The Faculty of Computing and IT under the College of Engineering, Computing, and IT at the University of Hargeisa organized a specialized training on the “Reference Management System (Mendeley)” aimed at strengthening students’ research, citation, and academic writing skills. The training was officially opened by the Acting Dean of the College, Mr. Awil Ahmed, who emphasized the importance of improving students’ digital research competencies for academic and professional growth.

The training sessions were facilitated by Dr. Ifrah Abdirahman and Dr. Yahye Adam, who guided participants on the effective use of Mendeley for academic referencing, citation management, and research organization. The initiative reflects the university’s commitment to equipping students with essential research and academic skills for higher education and future careers.
