University of Hargeisa Participates in KNQA International Conference 2026 in Nairobi

The University of Hargeisa is proudly participating in the KNQA International Conference 2026 taking place in Nairobi, Kenya, under the theme “Strengthening Qualifications Frameworks and Skills Development for Sustainable Growth.” The conference has brought together high-level delegates from government institutions, higher education bodies, TVET institutions, industry, and international organizations to discuss the future of qualifications systems, workforce readiness, and sustainable development across the region.

Representing the University of Hargeisa at the conference is Mr. Abdiqathar Rashid Kulmiye, Coordinator of External Relations and Partnerships, on behalf of the university. The event was graced by distinguished leaders and senior government officials, including Hon. Julius Migos Ogamba, Cabinet Secretary for Education, Mr. Felix Koskei, Chief of Staff and Head of Public Service, Dr. Esther Muoria, Principal Secretary for TVET, Dr. Beatrice Inyangala, Principal Secretary for Higher Education, Amb. Prof. Julius Kibet Bitok, Principal Secretary for Basic Education, Dr. Juma Mukhwana, Principal Secretary for Industry, Mr. Shadrack Mwadime, Principal Secretary for Labour and Skills Development, and Prof. Fanuel Taqwira, Permanent Secretary from Zimbabwe. The university’s participation reflects its continued commitment to strengthening international collaboration, academic partnerships, and quality education initiatives.
