The University of Hargeisa held an information session for its academic staff to provide an in-depth explanation of the newly launched Academic Ranking Policy. The session began with a comprehensive presentation delivered by Mr. Khalid Ahmed Abdi, Chairman of the committee responsible for drafting the policy. Mr. Khalid elaborated on the structure, objectives, and criteria upon which academic ranks will be based. The President of the University, Dr. Mohamed Ahmed Sulub, also addressed the gathering, emphasizing that the policy is transparent, fair, and geared toward promoting the professional growth of academic staff.

This was followed by an engaging Q&A session, where all participating lecturers actively contributed. The University President, accompanied by his two Vice Presidents — Dr. Fuad Abdi Obsiye, Vice President for Academic Affairs and Research, and Dr. Abdirashid Ismail Mohamed, Vice President for Administration and Development — provided detailed responses to the questions. They reaffirmed the University’s strong commitment to fostering academic excellence and rewarding merit, particularly through the advancement of research and community impact.
