The Department of Architecture and Urban Planning under the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Hargeisa successfully conducted the Final Jury Presentation for the Landscape Architecture course, showcasing the creative design proposals and technical achievements of third-year students. The presentations reflected students’ knowledge and practical application of landscape planning, environmental sustainability, site analysis, spatial design, and innovative architectural solutions for future communities.
The event provided students with the opportunity to professionally present and defend their projects before a distinguished jury panel comprising Architect Mumtaaz Abdullahi and Architect Hibo as External Jury members, while the course was led by Architect Hassan Ainanshe. The jury offered constructive professional feedback, helping students refine their design approaches and strengthen their presentation and critical thinking skills.
Held under the theme “Designing Sustainable, Functional, and Inspiring Landscapes for Future Communities,” the final jury highlighted the Faculty’s commitment to practice-based learning, design excellence, and preparing future architects and urban planners with the creativity, technical expertise, and professional competence needed to contribute to sustainable urban development.
