The University of Hargeisa hosted a monitoring visit by Mr. Abdirahman Hussein Hirsi, Director General of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Somaliland, to assess the progress of the ongoing In-Service Teacher Training Program at the University. The Director General was accompanied by the Director of the Teachers Department, the Director of the Teacher Training College, and other senior officials. During the visit, the delegation toured training classrooms, met with participating teachers, and received briefings from program administrators and trainers. The officials commended the strong collaboration between the Ministry of Education and Science and the University of Hargeisa, emphasizing the importance of continuous professional development programs in enhancing the quality of education and strengthening teachers’ professional competencies across Somaliland.
