The National Research Conference Forum of the University of Hargeisa, which lasted for two days, has officially concluded. During the two-day event, 70 research papers were presented, covering diverse and vital topics relevant to the development and well-being of the Somali society.
Before the official closing, the President of the University of Hargeisa, Dr. Mohamed Ahmed Sulub, delivered a speech of appreciation and recognition. He extended his sincere gratitude to all participants who actively engaged throughout the two days, to the researchers who presented their valuable findings, to the organizing committee for their dedication and hard work in ensuring the success of the conference, to the University’s protocol students who played a crucial role in facilitating the event, to the University’s staff for their strong support, and to the media outlets—particularly Somaliland National Television (SLNTV) for broadcasting the sessions live and Astaan Cable TV for their significant role in production and dissemination.
Dr. Sulub also announced that the International Research Conference will be held in December this year, providing another opportunity to strengthen research collaboration and knowledge sharing at a global level.









Finally, the conference was officially closed by Hon. Ismail Mowlid, the Deputy Minister of Finance of the Republic of Somaliland, who commended the University of Hargeisa for hosting the event and for its continuous efforts in advancing academic research. He emphasized that the findings and outcomes of the research presented during the conference will serve as valuable inputs for government policymaking and future national planning.
