As part of the ongoing academic collaboration and capacity-building efforts under the BSU-IV and FFU initiatives, a networking dinner was held to bring together PhD candidates, the University of Hargeisa top management team, guests from Gulu and Suza Universities, senior academics, program coordinators, and development partners. The event aimed to provide a platform for doctoral researchers to share their current research projects, receive constructive feedback, and explore opportunities for collaboration across institutions.
Throughout the evening, PhD candidates from both the BSU-IV (Building Stronger Universities Phase IV) and FFU (Danida Fellowship Centre-funded projects) programs delivered brief but impactful poster presentations highlighting the objectives, methodologies, and preliminary findings of their research. The presentations covered a diverse range of topics reflecting the multidisciplinary nature of the programs and the relevance of the research to pressing local and global challenges.
The informal setting of the dinner encouraged open dialogue and allowed participants to strengthen academic ties, promote interdisciplinary research dialogue, and celebrate the achievements of emerging scholars within the BSU-IV and FFU programs.
