Registration is the official process of enrolling in courses each semester. At the University of Hargeisa, registration is conducted online through the University Management System (UMS) prior to the start of every semester. The Registrarโs Office announces the online registration schedule in advance through official channels.
Students should note the following procedures and rules:
Registration opens and closes according to the official dates provided in the University Academic Calendar. A two-day late registration window may be offered.
Students are expected to complete their registration online before classes begin. Attendance is mandatory from the first week of classes.
Students cannot register for a course with a prerequisite unless they have achieved at least a grade of “D” in the prerequisite course.
Students must select the correct course codes, titles, and credit hours within the system.
Registration is only considered complete and official once submitted online and approved electronically by the system.
Students can view and download their approved registration confirmation from the UMS.
Students will not be permitted to attend classes unless registration is completed and confirmed through the online system.
